On the corner of Eighth and Walnut, a small contemporary lounge awaits your visit. Since it opened in August, Room 38 has been charming guests with a menu of small plates ranging in price from $4 for edamame to $11.50 for the bistro filet. The owners have created a sandwich list that offers enticing selections that will delight your taste buds with their distinct flavors.

Room 38’s most popular sandwich combines the forces of beef filet with lobster and crab. “You can’t go wrong with good quality beef and top it with seafood,” says chef and managing partner Jeremy Bowles. Bowles dresses the toasted bread, grilled beef and sautéed crab with a made-to-order house Parmesan cream sauce that makes the treat both crunchy and creamy. The sandwich offers the same rich flavors as other surf and turf entrees that cost $20 or more. Bowles recommends the surf and turf sandwich on sourdough bread with sweet potato fries, which are included in the price. If finishing the scrumptious sandwich seems like too much for one sitting, Bowles suggests you heat it up later in the oven.
