Performing Arts in Children’s Education, a youth theater program, presents A Kid’s Tale: An Evening of Shakespeare. This unique play written by Nancy Lineham Charles gives a comical twist to two Shakespearian plays redefined in this production as A Midsummer Night’s Dream or The Night They Missed the Forest for the Trees and A Kid’s Cautionary Tale of Macbeth.
PACE youth program director Debbie Baldwin says, "Some of the young cast members are already Shakespeare fans, but for many this is the first time they have been exposed to it.”
Related ArticlesIt’s all about the children at these performances because they are in charge of set design, lighting and sound. Baldwin says it’s important for these students to realize that the theater experience extends beyond just the stage, and it’s great hands-on training. “The script is quite clever, and the cast is having a ball."
